City of Waco Cameron Park Zoo
- Mission:
- Cameron Park Zoo is committed to wildlife conservation and research, educating others about nature and preserving biological diversity.
- Volunteer Duties:
- Work directly with the animals, plants and zoo visitors in areas such as education and conservation.
- Volunteer Requirements:
- Volunteers must be age 18 or older, complete an application, attend an orientation and pass a background check. If working with animals, volunteers are required to have a tuberculosis test.
- Training:
- All training is provided; no prior experience is necessary.
- Time Commitment:
- Volunteers must commit to 48 hours a year.
- Group Volunteering:
- Groups are welcome to volunteer with outdoor projects such as landscaping, indoor projects such as sorting items for special events, and helping with special events. Groups must complete a group volunteer application.

- Students in the field of education and others

- Volunteers gain hands-on experience in education and conservation, while learning more about a variety of animals, their care and their behavior.
