Animal Birth Control Clinic
- Mission:
- The Animal Birth Control Clinic provides access to affordable spay/neuter and preventative veterinary care. With financial support and collaboration, the health and safety of our community is improved while enriching the lives of cats, dogs and their families.
- Volunteer Duties:
- Assist the medical team (veterinarian and veterinary technicians) as they provide preventive veterinary care or assist the clinic with non-medical tasks.
- Volunteer Requirements:
- Volunteers must fill out an application and be at least 17 years of age.
- Training:
- All training is provided, including a half-hour personal tour and basic orientation.
- Time Commitment:
- No standard time commitment. Ideal volunteer hours are Monday-Friday, 8:15 am-4:45 pm.
- Group Volunteering:
- Groups of volunteer teams are needed to help with special community projects.
- Recommended For:
- Students in the fields of veterinary technology, nursing, pre-med, biology, sociology, public health, business, and computer information systems.
- Benefits:
- Volunteers gain hands-on experience in a number of areas, while improving the health and safety of animals and humans.
