Paralegal Studies program recognized for NALS partnership

March 28, 2022

McLennan Community College’s Paralegal Studies program is one of only nine from across the United States recognized as an Accredited Legal Professional (ALP) Partner Program by the National Association for Legal Support Professionals (NALS).

As an ALP Partner, MCC’s program has access to study tools, mock exams, and several reporting features that provide recommendations for program focus. Additionally, MCC has the ability to live-proctor the ALP certification exam allowing students to become certified once they complete the two-year program, rather than waiting to be certified through another process that requires work experience in the field.

"Earning a certification designation demonstrates dedication to a chosen career. The ALP designation enhances a résumé and provides future employers the opportunity to recognize that dedication," said the NALS Certification Board.

Other ALP Programs include: Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan; George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, Florida; Hialeah Gardens High School in Hialeah Gardens, Florida; Jones College in Ellisville, Mississippi; Matanzas High School in Palm Coast, Florida; Moore Norman Technology Center in Norman, Oklahoma; and Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, Mississippi.
