Declaring Your Certificate

Things to Remember: 

  • Only one certificate may be declared at a time.
  • Once you have completed the required classes in the certificate, do not change your designation until you have received the confirmation email from Professional Development.  
  • You may be working on more that one certificate at at time. 
  • PD classes are valid towards a certificate for five years.

If you are registered for the Technology Certificate, please be sure to finish all of the required classes by the end of this academic year. Completion of Certificate
At the end of each quarter, the certificates completed during that quarter will be awarded. Recipients will receive an email once the reports are run.  

Quarter 1: 9/1 - 11/30
Quarter 2: 12/1 - 2/28
Quarter 3: 3/1 - 5/31
Quarter 4: 6/1 - 8/31

The certificate program is designed so a certificate may be achieved in one year.

One certificate may be earned per quarter. 

Once a certificate is earned, it may not be earned again.

Classes are valid for five years, when working toward a certificate. If a class has expired, you are welcome to re-take the class.

Part-time and Adjunct employees may participate in PD classes, with the approval of their supervisors.

PD Certificate incentives are for full-time Professional and Support Staff only.

You are now able to see your completed PD Certificates on your Continuing Education (CE) Transcript. 

  • Visit MyMCC and log in. 
  • Select Academics from the left side menu. 
  • Select Unofficial Transcript then Continuing Education Transcript. 
  • Scroll to the bottom of your transcript to see your completed PD Certificate(s).
