Third Hand Exposures
Young children are particularly susceptible to the dangers of third hand exposures, as are adults with allergies, asthma, or respiratory problems or those who are susceptible to migraines. Thus all staff (full and part time teachers and administrative staff), volunteers, student teachers and practicum students must be free from smells of cigarette smoke, or perfumes. If needed, the center does have a supply of extra shirts available for individuals to change into. Please keep in mind that the center has the children's wellbeing in mind if we need to ask you to change your clothing. Additionally, NO air fresheners shall be used to mask odors in the center, including in the adult and child restrooms.
