MyMCC Troubleshooting

 
  • If you are receiving a "Connection is not fully secure" or "Secure connection failed" error when accessing MyMCC, follow the instructions here.
  • If your antivirus software is blocking the MyMCC website, follow the instructions provided by the software vendor to add mymcc.mclennan.edu and/or https://mymcc.mclennan.edu to its exception list.
  • I cannot log in to MyMCC.
    • To verify your username required to sign in, please follow the instructions here.
    • To reset your password for MyMCC, follow the instructions here.
      • Please note that for current employees and students, this password reset process will update your MCC password used for most services.
    • If your MyMCC account has been disabled due to too many login attempts, please contact MCC Tech Support.
    • To update the personal email address on file for password resets, please contact MCC Tech Support via phone at 254-299-8077. Current business hours may be found on the Tech Support webpage.
    • If you are in need of technical assistance, please contact MCC Tech Support.
  • I cannot register for a specific class.
    • If you're required to take developmental classes, be sure to register for those classes before registering for any other classes. The developmental class and subject area will be determined by your scores on the TSI Assessment. The developmental class must be in the area related to the section of the test that you did not pass. If you are required to take a reading developmental class, you must register for the recommended reading developmental class before registering for any other classes.
    • Be sure you've met the prerequisite for the class as listed in the class schedule and General Catalog. If you completed the prerequisite at another college or university, be sure you've submitted a transcript to Highlander Central.
    • If you're trying to register for HIST 1301 or 1302, GOVT 2305 or 2306, PSYC 2301, or ENGL 2322, 2323, 2327, 2328 or 2333, be sure you've passed the reading section of the THEA or Accuplacer or have credit for READ 0302 or INRW 0402.
  • I cannot complete the registration process.
    • Make sure all holds have been cleared through Highlander Central.
    • If you're not enrolled in the current or previous long semester (fall or spring), go to Highlander Central in the Enrollment Services Center to update your records and get registration clearance.
    • If you are a new student at MCC after Fall 2015, or if you are required to take a developmental course, you will need to meet with your advisor in order to start registering for classes each semester.  
    • Be sure you're enrolled in the appropriate developmental class. Your advisor will know which class you need. When developmental courses are required, the system will not allow you to complete the registration process without first registering for the appropriate developmental course.
    • If you were required to take a test, make sure you've submitted your test scores to Highlander Central. The system will not allow you to complete registration without the appropriate test scores. If you are required to take a reading developmental class, you must register for the recommended reading developmental class before registering for any other classes.
