10/7-10/13/24: Fraud Alert - Scam Email 

ISS staff were recently made aware of a phishing scam targeting McLennan Community College (MCC) student email accounts, with a false job opportunity for student interns.

Subject: Remote Advanced Internship Program at MCC.

The email is FRAUDULENT and NOT from MCC. If you received this, DO NOT respond to the email, please delete. The Cybersecurity Team strongly advises students to contact relevant departments, by telephone, for verification. STAY VIGILANT.

If you responded to or acted on the fraudulent email, and/or feel you have been victimized, please contact the MCC Police Department at (254) 299-8860 to report the crime.
