Texas Auctioneer License Requirements
To obtain an auctioneer's license in Texas, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Have no felony convictions in the past five years
- Complete at least 80 hours of classroom instruction at an approved auction school
- Individuals with a criminal history must complete a TDLR Criminal History Evaluation to obtain a Determination of Eligibility
