Guidelines for Employee Eligibility

MCC offers a variety of class formats and schedules for working adult students including evening and online programs. MCC students also have free access to the MCC library, computers, tutoring, and other academic and non-academic student success resources.

Texas Farm Bureau and Affiliated Companies - Educational Assistance Program Guidelines
Texas Farm Bureau and Affiliated Companies will sponsor full-time employees (students) within the following guidelines:
- Company Sponsored or Required Courses (ie. Certificate programs)
- Eligibility – Full-time employee in good standing with > 6 months of service
- Company Sponsored - The companies granting approval will pay 100% of all fees and expenses including course fees, exam fees, registration fees, and books.
- If a student fails to sit for an exam and does not have an approved or valid excuse, the student must pay the full exam fee for the next semester. These monies are not refundable.
- The student pays 100% of all unexcused late charges. These monies are not refundable.
- Degree Granting Programs (up to a bachelor’s degree)
- Eligibility – Full-time employee in good standing with > 3 years of service
- Reimbursement – The company will reimburse 100% of the following costs: textbooks, tuition, courses, and lab fees. As each quarter or semester is successfully completed (all courses passed with at least a C), the employee will submit to the department head all documentation for reimbursement which includes grad reports, receipts for books, tuition costs, and fees accrued for that time frame. The department head will okay the request by signing it and pass it on to the Director of Human Resources for approval. Then it will be submitted for payment.
- All financial costs for the degree program will be the full responsibility of the employee and paid by the company at the scheduled times. The company will not be responsible for any before the fact fees or charges for books, tuition, or registration.
- No costs for courses failed will be paid.
- If the employee misses a quarter or semester without a valid and approved reason, all future funding will cease.
- If the employee (as a student) is placed on academic probation, the company will cease to pay any costs until the employee is reinstated (taken off academic probation).
