View Position Description
Ambassadors are an honorary group of selected students to represent the college. Their primary goal is to assist in the delivery of outreach programs and services and promote college enrollment throughout local schools and the community.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a current MCC student
- Must have completed at least 12 college credit hours
- Earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher at MCC
- Be in good standing in the community and MCC
- Must be registered for a minimum of 6 semester hours both at the time of selection and during time served
Desirable Qualifications:
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Fluency in a language other than English
Positive academic performance, leadership potential, and communication skills are also qualities required for this position.
Each Student Ambassador commits to one full year, and three service hours per week in the Student Admissions and Recruitment Office. Student Ambassadors must also be available to assist with recruiting events, and attend departmental meetings.
Work Activities & Conditions: Student Ambassadors will lead campus tours, and attend and assist with college fairs and recruiting events on and off campus. Ambassadors will promote college enrollment and assist prospective students with the enrollment process. Ambassadors will represent the college and provide support to Recruiting and Highlander Central. The Ambassadors may have other duties as assigned.

Selection Process: Student Ambassadors are selected through a process that includes an application, an interview, and two references.
