To take the Texas real estate sales agent exam and hold a license in Texas, you must:

- Be at least 18 years of age
- Meet TREC's qualifications for honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity
Some criminal offenses may prevent you from holding a real estate sales agent license in Texas. Review the TREC Rules §541.1 for details. If you have a criminal history, request a Fitness Determination from TREC before enrolling.
