You can get your new real estate career off the ground before finishing a degree through our Real Estate Licensure Certificate. After completing only six courses required by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), you are eligible to earn your Texas Real Estate Salesperson’s License, which will allow you to enter the real world of real estate as a licensed agent. Our FastTrack program makes this process even easier by allowing you to complete all six courses in a single semester, which helps take you from the classroom to the workforce in the shortest time possible! (Students are vetted prior to enrollment in the FastTrack program.)
Licensure Restrictions
To be eligible to sit for the real estate sales agent licensure exam and to hold the real estate sales agent license in Texas, you must meet the following requirements as outlined in TREC Rule §535.51(b)(1)(A):
- Be a citizen of the United States or a lawfully admitted alien;,
- Be at least 18 years of age; and,
- Meet TREC's qualifications for honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity.
Certain criminal offenses (as outlined by TREC Rules, specifically §541.1) may prevent an individual from being eligible to hold a real estate sales agent license in the State of Texas. Criminal offense guidelines may be reviewed within the TREC Rules §541.1 Individuals with a criminal history should request a Fitness Determination from TREC before enrolling in the Real Estate program.
TREC Compliance and Licensure Examinations
