What is the Great Leader Seminar?

The Great Leaders Seminar has its roots in the National Great Teacher Movement. The Great Teacher Movement was started in 1969 to help teachers from Community Colleges across the United States to fi nd solutions to common challenges. The seminar is exclusive to executives in the community college arena. The goal of the seminar is to foster connection and creative problem solving for the complexities of college leadership and administration.

Registration Section HeaderThe registration deadline is June 1, 2025. Your $900 registration fee includes:
  • All required participant fees
  • 5 days/ 4 nights accommodations

Who is the Seminar for?

The seminar is designed for Community College Executives: Presidents, Vice Presidents, Provosts, Chancellors, Deans, and Directors.


What we offer

The five days retreat allows community college executives the opportunity to energize their perspectives and build their network.

Daily sessions focus on collaborative problem solving and skills building to prime leaders for challenges facing community colleges.

  • McLennan Community College (MCC) is located in Waco, Texas.
  • MCC opened its doors in 1965 and currently serves approximately 9,000 students.

Important Dates

The registration deadline is June 1, 2025.

Cancellations and/or refunds requested before June 1, 2025, will be refunded less a $200 administration fee. No refunds will be made after June 1, 2025. Substitute attendees are accepted and encouraged if the primary registrant withdraws or is otherwise unable to attend.
