McLennan Community Orchestra
About McLennan Community Orchestra
The McLennan Community Orchestra was founded in 2020 with the goals of providing orchestral performing opportunities for McLennan students and community musicians and providing free performances of orchestral repertoire to the community. The Orchestra typically presents two concerts each semester. Recent repertoire includes Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, and Bloch's Concerto Grosso No. 1.
How to Join
Membership in the MCO is open to all orchestral string players (violin, viola, cello, and bass). Woodwinds, brass and percussion are included in limited numbers. McLennan students may register for MUEN 1122 to participate in the orchestra for credit. Community members may register through Continuing Education.
If you are interested in joining the Orchestra or would like more information, contact the MCO director, Dr. Peter Olson at polson@mclennan.edu
