The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board requires dual credit courses to meet these criteria:
- The course is listed in the current Academic Course Guide Manual (ACGM) or the current Workforce Education Course Manual (WECM).
- The course must currently be offered by the college (listed in the college's "course inventory").
- The course must NOT be developmental, remedial, or PHED.
- The course must fall into one of these categories: McLennan core curriculum, foreign language, a state-approved Field of Study curriculum, or a WECM course that applies toward an industry-recognized credential, certificate, or associate degree.
To find out if a college course is a good match for a high school course, see McLennan's college course syllabi. If you need more information, contact the dual credit liaison to request detailed syllabi or other materials.
