Laurel attended Tarleton State University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a minor in Biology, as well as a Master of Science degree in Business. Laurel is a McLennan alumna, completing the Veterinary Technology program in 2013. While attending MCC, she lived and worked in Round Rock, commuting to and from Waco every day to class. She has been working in the small animal field since 2013. In 2015, upon graduating from McLennan Community College's Veterinary Technology Program, she became an LVT. She has experience in high-volume spay/neuter, emergency medicine, and oncology. Laurel became a full-time instructor in September 2018.
