Who is eligible for SSS?
To be eligible for the SSS program, students must:
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- Be accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled at MCC
- Have an academic need for TRIO services
- Meet any one or more of the following:
- A parent does not have a four-year college degree and/or
- Have a documented disability (students must be registered with MCC’s Office of Disability Services) and/or
- Meet federal income guidelines to qualify as low income
Eligible students are invited to complete the application below and return it to the SSS office. Students are selected based on eligibility, their need for academic support, their drive to succeed, and their commitment to the program.
The Student Support Services (SSS) Project is 100% funded by the Department of Education with an annual budget of $398,502 to serve 240 participants. Due to limited spaces, not all who apply are able to be accepted.
TRIO SSS is currently at capacity for the 2024-25 academic year. Sign up on the interest list to receive notification of when we resume accepting applications.
