MCC hosting Educational Assistance Partnerships Lunch & Learn

McLennan Community College will host a free Lunch & Learn about its Educational Assistance Partnership Program Oct. 4 from noon-1 p.m. in the Conference Center at MCC, 4601 N. 19th St.

The Educational Assistance Partnership Program pairs MCC with Central Texas businesses that offer employer-sponsored educational assistance programs to help employees reach their educational goals. Through the partnership, employees can earn a degree or certificate from MCC that is fully or partially paid for by their employer.

The program is a great benefit to employees and employers. Participants receive individual assistance with the enrollment process and financial aid, along with flexible course schedules and an abundance of student success resources to help them through their educational journey. Businesses participating in the program see the benefit through possible tax benefits, increased employee retention and engagement, and access to MCC’s job board and on-campus facilities to interview and recruit future employees.

Amazon, the City of Waco, Texas Farm Bureau and Educators Credit Union have all joined the program.
