MCC Associate Degree Nursing students surpass state & national NCLEX-RN® pass rates

Graduates of McLennan Community College Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program surpassed the state and national pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN^®). MCC’s 2022 had an official pass rate of 97.3% compared to the State of Texas rate of 84.28% and the national rate of 79.91%.

“I am so proud of all our students and the faculty team who helped them cross the finish line,” Program Director Shelley Blackwood said.

Applications are being accepted through Oct. 16 for the two-year ADN program with classes beginning in Spring 2024. Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) wishing to complete the LVN to RN Transition program should apply by March 18, 2024 for the Summer 2024 cohort.
