Spring 2020 Highest Honors Graduates

Alexzandria P. Turley Associate of Arts in General Academics	Alexzandria says, “My biggest influences for academic success were the many people in my life who always encouraged me to work to my fullest potential.” Alexzandria plans to further her education at Texas State University.
Catherine P. McClintock Associate of Arts in General Academics	Catherine plans to further her education at Texas A&M University.
Cierra N. Stewart Associate of Arts in General Academics	Cierra says, “Two things that most influenced my academic success: my mother and my career goal to become either a Financial Analyst or Forensic Accountant.” While attending MCC, Cierra worked as a personal banker at First Convenience Bank and as a crew leader at AMC Theaters. She plans to further her education at Baylor University or the University of North Texas.
Connie Mendoza Associate of Arts in General Academics	Connie says, "My family has been the greatest influence on my academic success. Although my family couldn't always give me answers, they always gave me their love and support. The TRIO program also provided me with resources and encouragement that greatly helped me throughout this academic journey." Connie plans to further her education at Baylor University.
Daphne D. Whiting Associate of Applied Science in Accounting	Daphne says her family has been the greatest influence on her academic success. While attending MCC, Daphne worked as an Office Manager at Southern Cabinets. She plans to further her education at Tarleton State University at Waco.
Diana Ortega Associate of Arts in General Academics	Diana plans to further her education at Texas State Technical College.
Elise M. Cummings Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology	Elise says, “My family and my teachers in the Veterinary Technology program most influenced my academic success.” While attending MCC, Elise worked at a Waco veterinary clinic.
Emma K. Howard Associate of Arts	Emma plans to further her education at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Harrison Lee Escue Associate of Arts with a Field of Study in Criminal Justice	Harrison plans to further his education at the Law Enforcement Academy beginning in July.
Ivette Padron Associate of Arts in General Academics	Ivette says, “My parents are my biggest motivators. They left everything behind when they migrated to this country, but they did it so that my siblings and I could have a better future. This is what motivates me. I work hard, not only to make them proud, but to make their sacrifice worth it.” Ivette plans to further her education at the University of North Texas.
Laura Diaz Associate of Arts in General Academics	Laura says, “My mother was the person who influenced my academic success the most. She pushed me to do my best in everything I did. She was never disappointed in my academics, instead she gave me words of advice to help me push forward. I completed this accomplishment because of the words she used to motivate me.” Laura plans to further her education at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Victoria Layne Lopez Associate of Arts in Psychology	Victoria says, “My participation in the Honors College and as a Presidential Scholar allowed me to gain valuable experiences that shaped my academic success. I would not be where I am today without the opportunities MCC has given me.” Victoria plans to further her education at Tarleton State University at Waco.
Zoe M. Vernon Associate of Arts in General Academics	Zoe says, “My parents emphasized the importance of education since I was young. They were the greatest influences of my academic success.” While attending MCC, Zoe worked as an Administrative Intern at Placements Unlimited, Inc. She plans to further her education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Allyson P. Valdez Associate of Arts in General Academics	Allyson says, “My family and friends most influenced my academic success.” Allyson plans to further her education at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
