Annalise Charis Bella Galliguez
Annalise Charis Bella Galliguez is receiving an Associate of Arts in General Academics this evening. Celebrating with her fiancé Corban Lake, her parents, and her siblings.
While attending MCC, Annalise worked as a realtor.
When asked who influenced her academic success at MCC, Annalise says, “My sister influenced my academic success. Even though I decided on a different career path, I still think of her whenever things get hard. Also, my fiancé Corban has inspired me to keep going even when I want to quit, I can’t wait to marry him and encourage one another for a lifetime to keep pursuing our dreams.”
Annalise plans to continue her education at the University of North Texas.

Avery Makale McSpadon
Avery Makale McSpadon is receiving an Associate of Arts in General Academics this evening. Celebrating with her are her parents, grandparents, extended family, and friends.
While attending MCC, Avery worked as a Summer Bridge Leader for MCC’s First Generation Scholars program.
When asked who influenced her academic success at MCC, Avery says, “The most important influence in my life is God. He has kept me strong through my college journey. My parents were both huge influences in my success. I wouldn’t be here without their support! Also, all three of the success coaches I have had while being at MCC, my advisors, and my professors have all had a huge part in me being where I am right now, and I thank them for their patience and kindness towards me.”
Avery plans to continue her education at MCC in the Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Brielle Cyleace Dorsey
Brielle Cyleace Dorsey is receiving an Associate of Arts in General Academics this evening. Celebrating with her are her parents, Jyateia and B.C. Dorsey.
While attending MCC, Brielle was a member of the women’s basketball team.
When asked who influenced her academic success at MCC, Brielle says, “My parents, who are first-generation students, have influenced my academic success and have inspired me to continue the educational path they have set forth for me.”
Brielle plans to continue her education at Baylor University.

Jasmine Janae Morgan
Jasmine Janae Morgan is receiving an Associate of Arts in General Academics this evening. Celebrating with her are Jeremy, Ellen, & Maaliyah Morgan
While attending MCC, Jasmine worked full-time as a preschool teacher and part-time as a dance instructor.
When asked who influenced her academic success at MCC, Jasmine simply says, “Jesus.”
Jasmine plans to continue her education at Middle Tennessee State University.

Jessie Leigh Eubank
Jessie Leigh Eubank is receiving an Associate of Arts in Field of Study Curriculum in Criminal Justice this evening. Celebrating with her are Chris & Rebecca Eubank, Debora & Jeremy Avants, Dan Francis, and Kourtney & John Crawley.
While attending MCC, Jessie worked at Fox’s Treats and Eats.
When asked who influenced her academic success at MCC, Jessie says, “My godfather, Dan Francis, has always believed that education should be one of the highest priorities. By supporting my endeavors and future aspirations, he has shown me education is the key to success in life.”
Jessie plans to further her education but is unsure of the next steps in her journey.

Leslie Torres
Leslie Torres is receiving an Associate of Arts in Field of Study Curriculum in Criminal Justice this evening. Celebrating with her are her parents, siblings, boyfriend, extended family, and friends.
While attending MCC, Leslie worked at H-E-B.
When asked who influenced her academic success at MCC, Leslie says, “I would like to thank my family, friends, educators, and other faculty members who have supported me through my journey in higher education. Their encouragement and guidance have had a huge influence on my academic success. However, I am especially grateful for my parents who have shown me endless love and support and have made countless sacrifices to get me to where I am today. I hope to continue to make them proud and make all the hardships they have endured worth it.”
Leslie plans to further her education at Tarleton State University Waco through the University Center at MCC.

Lisa Adele Carter
Lisa Adele Carter is receiving an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting this evening. Celebrating with her are her son, DeQuan, and husband, Gordon, along with her siblings and parents that were unable to attend.
While attending MCC, Lisa worked for Waco ISD.
When asked who influenced her academic success at MCC, Lisa says, “My academic success was greatly influenced by the need for better employment opportunities, that these degrees could offer, this was my motivation. I am from Barbados and my paperwork has no value in America. The support that I received from God, my son, and my husband helped me to keep pushing on. I had some great professors along this journey, but I have had the very best advisor ever, Mr. Boyce Wilson, who helped encourage and guide me to complete these degrees. I want to say thank you to all that have supported me to accomplish this achievement."
Lisa is undecided about plans to continue her education.

Terilyn Portis-Harris
Terilyn Portis-Harris is receiving an Associate of Arts in General Academics this evening. Celebrating with her are her parents, grandparents, and friends.
While attending MCC, Terrilyn was a member of the two-time NDA National Champion MCC Dance Company.
When asked who influenced her academic success at MCC, Terilyn says, “My mother has always been a big influence on my academic success. She always encouraged me to do my best and gave me access to any help I needed. I’ve always strived to keep my grades high in order to make her proud.”
Terilyn plans to continue her education at the University of North Texas.
