Mission Statement

The purpose of Hearts in the Arts is to provide financial support to Visual and Performing Arts students, programs, performances, and travel opportunities.

Thank you for supporting the Arts at MCC!

We are proud to bring you another season of musical and theatrical delights on the McLennan stages!  Our student performers, drawn from around the state, come to McLennan for rigorous instruction, meaningful practice, and top-notch performances. Their experience here develops their talents beyond the stage as they grow as individuals, performers, and students. Not a week goes by that we don’t hear about a former arts student who is achieving big things in their career!  Your support will ensure the next generation of creatives can achieve success.

Please consider becoming a member of the MCC Foundation’s Hearts in the Arts (HIA) affinity group that supports all the visual and performing arts at McLennan. As a 2022-2023 Hearts in the Arts member, you will enjoy a full selection of arts opportunities and tickets to all theatre, opera, and Steinway performances! Depending on your level of sponsorship, your HIA membership may also include top billing as a presenting sponsor of the February 23, 2023 Hearts in the Arts Gala, featuring the eccentric, slightly ghoulish but thoroughly entertaining musical, The Addams Family!

Hearts in the Arts provides scholarships, arts equipment, master classes, and emergency grants to students through the MCC Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that depends on community support to enrich the academic and cultural life of Central Texas. Thank you for fulfilling that mission through your support of the arts at McLennan in 2022-2023. We’ll see you at the show!
