Dear Students:
Thank you for your patience and support during this very challenging time. Your McLennan Community College campus community understands your concerns regarding the potentially serious nature of the COVID-19 virus, and we want to make sure you receive the resources needed to complete this semester and continue your education at McLennan Community College as much as we can.
Please know that many College faculty and staff are currently working remotely, and we are available to help you. Please use our staff directory or our Contact Us page on our website.
When we receive new information, we will evaluate our current plans and make adjustments. We care about you and will make decisions with everyone’s health and safety in mind.
Here are few things for you to do before classes resume on Monday, March 23:
- Check your BrightSpace account and your MCC email account for any instructions from your professors.
- If you still have questions about classes, please email your professor or advisor as soon as possible. Full Directory of Contact
- If you are concerned about finishing this semester online, please contact your professor, your advisor, or the Completion Center.
Here is an update of what MCC is doing to help you through the rest of the semester:
- All classes, including second 8-week courses, will resume on March 23, and classes will be online. All dual credit classes will also be online. We are working with the schools to provide support.
- Although we will start classes a week late, we will keep the same end dates, final exam schedule, and other academic deadlines. See our Important Dates.
- Payment deadlines have been extended until March 23 for all 8-week classes.
- The drop date for 8-week classes will be extended to March 25.
- We have decided to postpone the May 2020 Commencement Exercises. We regret having to make this decision. You will still graduate if you complete requirements. Graduates will still receive transcripts and diplomas. If you have questions about graduating, please email commencement@mclennan.edu.
- For students who have questions or concerns regarding Financial Aid, including work-study and loans, please email financial_aid@mclennan.edu. Staff will respond as quickly as possible, but please be aware that it may take some time due to the high volume of questions.
