Rental Information

Cameron Hall is a premier event venue on the MCC campus, featuring a stunning gallery room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Bosque River valley. The Gallery Room spans 2,160 square feet and is available for a variety of events, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations. The full building is approximately 8,600 square feet.

Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Waco and Interstate 35, Cameron Hall is easily accessible for guests traveling from across the region. Ample free parking is available on campus.

Cameron Hall is available with approval from the President's Office during the following hours:

  • Sunday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–10 p.m.
  • Friday–Saturday: 7:30 a.m.–11 p.m.

Cameron Hall is not available on most federal and College holidays — including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day — or during scheduled maintenance or major College-wide events, unless approved by the President's Office.

Discounts

  • 25% discount for nonprofit organizations (501c3)
  • 50% discount for donors at the Benefactor or Visionaries level; Visionaries also receive one complimentary rental per calendar year
  • The President may authorize additional discounted rates in accordance with contractual or College commitments
  • Only one discount per rental; discounts do not apply to additional services

Catering

MCC Food Services is the preferred caterer for Cameron Hall events. Outside caterers must be preapproved by the College and are required to execute a Catering Vendor Agreement. Simple drop-off orders (such as pizza or standard delivery) do not require caterer approval.

Alcohol Policy

Alcohol is permitted at Cameron Hall events. An MCC Police Officer must be present for the duration of any event where alcohol is served, billed at $50/hour per officer.

Decorating Guidelines

The following guidelines apply to all interior and exterior locations:

  • No nails, staples, or tape that may damage surfaces
  • Prohibited items: open flames (including candles), helium balloons, glitter, confetti, smoke machines, rice, and sparklers
  • The Cameron paintings are permanent fixtures and may not be removed; no food or beverage tables may be placed near the paintings
  • Seasonal décor already in place may not be moved or removed for individual events

Reservations & Deposits

All reservations must be approved by the MCC President's Office. To begin the reservation process, contact events@mclennan.edu.

  • A Facility Request Form must be submitted at least 30 days before the event
  • A signed Facility Use Agreement is required for all reservations
  • A rental deposit is due within 10 business days of reservation (unless waived by the College President)

If an event is cancelled due to a force majeure event — such as a natural disaster, pandemic, unforeseen campus closure, or similar circumstances beyond a party's reasonable control — all deposits will be returned to the client, less any actual costs already incurred by MCC.
