By ensuring your information is always up-to-date, you can rest assured knowing you will receive important MCC notifications the moment they go out. With MyAlert, vital information is only a text or email away, regardless of where you are.
Possible alerts include:
- Follow instructions from MCC’s CERT members
- If it is safe to do so:
- Leave the building immediately
- Take your personal belongings and secure sensitive materials
- Do not leave the building
- Follow instructions from MCC’s CERT members

- Notify persons in your area to quickly and orderly get away from the perimeter of the building and exterior glass

- Proceed to an area designated as a “Tornado Shelter” on maps posted inside buildings
- Remain there until the “All Clear” is given by MCC’s CERT members, Campus Police or the Emergency Management Committee
- Follow instructions from MCC's CERT members when the "All Clear" is given
- If ice or snow has occurred during the overnight or morning hours:
- Determination will be made based on current conditions of roads and sidewalks
- If conditions will improve in the morning hours, the campus may open later in the morning

- If conditions are not expected to improve in a timely manner, cancellation of classes and college operations may occur
