Ken Starr Lecture Series

The Ken Starr Lecture Series, hosted by McLennan Community College, brings distinguished speakers in law, leadership, and public service to Waco. Created to honor Judge Ken Starr’s legacy, the series provides MCC students and the broader community with meaningful opportunities to engage with thought leaders on topics that shape our society.

The Ken Starr Lecture Series is offered at no cost to the public, continuing MCC’s mission to promote education, dialogue, and civic engagement.

Dr. Lindsay M. Chervinsky will visit McLennan Community College for this free presentation, open to the public. Dr. Chervinsky is Executive Director of the George Washington Presidential Library at Mount Vernon and the award-winning author of Making the Presidency: John Adams and the Precedents that Forged the Republic and The Cabinet: George Washington and the Creation of an American Institution. She is widely recognized for making American history engaging and accessible through her books, television and radio appearances, and public speaking.

Dr. Chervinsky will share historical insights into the American presidency, the nation's founding, and the enduring principles that continue to shape our democracy.

The evening will be moderated by Talmage Boston, an acclaimed historian, author, attorney, and nationally recognized interviewer. Together, Dr. Chervinsky and Mr. Boston will explore the people, ideas, and leadership that helped shape our nation and continue to influence our country today.

Tickets

Tickets are required and will be available beginning August 1, 2026. Tickets are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis (limited to four per order). No reserved seating is available. Arrive early if you need special accommodations. Sign language interpreting for the Deaf and hard of hearing will be provided. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
