Robert Reich

Robert B. Reich, one of the nation's leading thinkers about work and the economy, is professor of public policy at the University of California at Berkeley. Previously, he was a university professor at Brandeis University and professor of social and economic policy at Brandeis's Heller Graduate School.

Reich has served in three national administrations, most recently as the 22nd U.S. Secretary of Labor under President Bill Clinton. During his tenure, his credits include helping to implement the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), fighting sweatshops, increasing the minimum wage, and improving workplace safety.

Reich has written 10 books, including the two best sellers "The Future of Success" and "Locked in the Cabinet," and his articles have appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. He is the co-founding editor of The American Prospect magazine. His weekly commentaries on public radio's "Marketplace" are heard by nearly five million people.
