Business Administration & Management Pathways
MCC's Administration & Management Pathway is designed for students to earn stackable credentials as they progress toward their degree. These stackable credentials - Occupational Skills Awards (OSA) and Certificates - indicate that the student has successfully grown in their knowledge, skills, and abilities relating to business management. Students may use these credentials to seek raises and promotions or to seek a new job with better compensation. The stackable credentials offered by the Administration & Management Pathway also make it possible for current and potential employers to recognize an applicant's knowledge and skill through verifiable credentials backed by McLennan Community College
The Business Administration & Management program provides you with the fundamentals of business operations with an emphasis on practical functions and theoretical aspects of business organizations. If you enjoy the full scope of business operations, this program may be the perfect fit for you. Our courses focus on both practical and theoretical aspects of business organizations with emphases on marketing, management, business law, survey of business and economics.
If you have the entrepreneurial spirit and desire to start your own business, look no further than MCC's Entrepreneurship Certificate. The certificate is entirely integrated into the Business Administration & Management AAS and offers practical courses specifically designed to help you get started on your business plan and pursuing your own business.
Following the Business Administration & Management Pathway requires no additional courses - the Business Administration & Management AAS is comprised of all courses contained within the Business Administration & Management OSA, Business Administration & Management Certificate, and Entrepreneurship Certificate. Both the Business Administration & Management and Entrepreneurship pathways transfer seamlessly to our University Center partners, Tarleton State University and Texas Tech University. Students who are interested in obtaining a Bachelor's degree from a university not included in MCC's University Center should enroll in the Field of Study for Business Administration AA degree. The completion of the Business Administration AAS and transferable general academics courses allows the student to save thousands of dollars in tuition costs
