Certificate Programs

Professional & Organizational Development offers several PD Certificates that focus on enhancing the skills and performance of our employees. PD classes and certificates are available to all full-time MCC employees as part of the benefits package.

Declaring Your Certificate

Things to Remember:

  • The certificate program is designed so a certificate may be achieved in one year.
  • Only one certificate may be declared at a time.
  • PD Certificates are awarded at the end of each quarter.
  • Once you have completed the required classes in the certificate, do not change your designation until you have received the confirmation email from Professional Development.
  • You may be working on more than one certificate at time.
  • PD classes are valid towards a certificate for five years. Should a class expire, you are welcome to retake that class.
  • Once a certificate is earned, it may not be earned again.
  • Part-time and Adjunct employees may participate in PD classes, with the approval of their supervisors.
  • PD Certificate incentives awarded to full-time Professional and Support Staff only.

Completion of Certificate
At the end of each quarter, the PD Office will run a Certificate Completion Report. Those who have achieved a certificate will receive an email confirming the completion of the certificate. Professional and Support Staff will then select what incentive they would like. Once the confirmation email is received, you are welcome to designate the next certificate you would like to work towards. All employees who achieve a certificate will receive a certificate of completion and a lapel pin with the name of the certificate on it via campus mail.

Quarter 1: 9/1 - 11/30
Quarter 2: 12/1 - 2/28
Quarter 3: 3/1 - 5/31
Quarter 4: 6/1 - 8/31
