    Observed every October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure everyone has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online.

  2. Security Alerts

    Find recent phishing and scam attempts targeting the MCC community. View examples of actual malicious emails to stay informed and protect yourself.

    Current alerts will be posted on Tech Support. All MCC students are automatically enrolled to receive text alerts (unless opted out) through Mongoose (Cadence), as well.

  4. Cybersecurity Training (annual)

    All MCC Employees and Board of Trustees (BOT) members are required (by the State of Texas) to complete annual, Cybersecurity Training.

    Best practices show education is the first line of defense in recognizing attempts and preventing attacks.

    2025 Training

    Annual (state-mandated) Cybersecurity training is now available for all MCC faculty and staff. Check your email for the link. Please complete by October 31.

  5. Central Texas Cyber Hub

    CTCR LogoThe Central Texas Cyber Hub is a  collaboration between  Baylor UniversityMcLennan Community College, and  Central Texas College .

    The mission is to establish Central Texas as a leading center of excellence in cybersecurity education by addressing critical workforce needs through non-degree training, stackable skills, comprehensive degree programs for industry and government, and fostering world-class cyber research.

    This is also part of the  Central Texas Cyber Range (CTCR), a state of the art facility, located on the Baylor University campus,  designed for flexible research and education.
