Maintenance is required to keep Information Systems & Services (ISS) in good working order. Maintenance may be disruptive or non-disruptive.

Maintenance Descriptions

Types of maintenance and descriptions
Maintenance Type Maintenance Description
Disruptive Service will be down or in a degraded state.
Non-Disruptive Service outages or degradations are not expected. However, accessing the system during the maintenance could see slower responses, inconsistent or incorrect display data, and/or page load failures.

Help Desk Tickets (KACE) Server Maintenance 1 of 2

  • Maintenance will be performed to upgrade the Help Desk ticketing system to the most recent software version. This will take place on two separate days, two weeks apart, to ensure campus devices which communicate with the ticketing system will continue to be able to communicate throughout the upgrade process.
  • During this time, all users will be unable to access the ticketing system and all methods used to generate tickets will fail to generate tickets until the maintenance is complete.
