MCC’s Kids College provides year-round opportunities for school-aged students to explore STEM, the arts, and public services through engaging, hands-on activities.

Kids College Career Academies

MCC Kids College Career Academies offer engaging, hands-on learning
experiences for children ages 5-12. Students explore various career fields
through interactive activities led by professionals and educators. They’ll
participate in real-world tasks and learn how to pursue careers of interest.
Children are welcome to enroll in multiple academies.

Meteorologist Academy (Ages 5–12) June 10 or July 16 • 9–11 a.m. Explore weather science with hands-on activities, forecasting, and a behind-the-scenes look at meteorology. $79
EMS Academy (Ages 5–12) June 16 or July 21 • 9–11 a.m. Learn about EMS, explore ambulances, and practice basic CPR and first aid skills. $79
Forensics Academy (Ages 11–18) June 8–11 • 9 a.m.–12 p.m. Investigate crime scenes and use real forensic tools in a hands-on lab setting. $299
Fire Academy (Ages 5–12) June 22 or July 14 • 9–11 a.m. Discover fire safety, equipment, and firefighting basics through interactive activities. $79
Law Enforcement Academy (Ages 5–12) June 9 or July 7 • 9–11 a.m. Get an inside look at policing, equipment, and everyday safety practices. $79
Vet Tech Academy (Ages 5–12) June 17 or July 9 • 9–11 a.m. Learn about animal care, x-rays, and veterinary tools while exploring a career working with animals. $79

Summer Learning Labs – Reading

MCC Summer Learning Labs help students review and strengthen skills
from the previous school year while preparing for the next grade. Texas certified
teachers provide targeted instruction in reading, language arts,
and math. Students must enroll in the grade level program that was
completed in the 2025-2026 school year.

2–3 Reading June 22–25 • 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Develop reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. $199
3–4 Reading June 29–July 1 • 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Prepare for upper elementary reading with focus on comprehension and writing. $199
4–5 Reading July 6–9 • 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Enhance vocabulary, fluency, and communication skills. $199
5–6 Reading July 13–16 • 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Focus on text analysis, structured writing, and advanced comprehension. $199
