Dr. Drew Canham is the Chief of Staff for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at McLennan Community College. Drew also holds the position as MCC’s Title IX Coordinator. He served as the Vice President for Student Success/Title IX Coordinator for eight years prior to his current appointment. He is an adjunct professor for Tarleton State University, where he teaches graduate school courses in the Educational Leadership and Technology Department, to include Higher Education History, The Comprehensive Community College, Higher Education Student Services, and Higher Education Politics and Policy.

Dr. Canham is a United States Air Force veteran, where he served as an air traffic controller. Drew is a current member of the Texas State Guard. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Elmira College, a J.D. from Ohio Northern University (law), and a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University.

Prior to MCC, Dr. Canham worked at Texas Tech University where he served in University Student Housing, Student Conduct, and the Ombuds Office in progressing leadership roles. Dr. Canham also served as a Member of the Graduate Faculty for Texas Tech University, and has taught Higher Education and the Law, Administration of Higher Education, American Higher Education, and The President's Cabinet. He has also taught XL: Strategies for Success at Texas Tech and a student success course at Ohio Northern University. Drew has also co-authored two local-history books: Legendary Locals of Orleans County (2012), about the people of Orleans County, New York, where he is originally from; and Mom & Pop Farming in Orleans County, New York (2016).
