Admission and Registration Checklist
1 Apply for admission
If you have not already applied to MCC, select a link below to apply so you can complete the registration process:
2 Apply for financial aid
- Take a look at tuition rates and fees at MCC.
- Check with the Financial Aid office for available grants, scholarships or loans that may be available to you.
- Read the Financial Aid Frequently Asked Questions.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure to have the Federal Pell Grant Student Aid Report sent to MCC by using our code, 003590, on the application. (You must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen to apply.)
- Become familiar with the different types of financial aid that you may be eligible to receive.
3 Choose a program and register for classes
- View the list of instructional departments or academic programs for areas of study that interest you.
- Once you have selected a program, use the Automated Degree Plan feature in WebAdvisor to see the courses and requirements for your program.
- Look through the course schedule to see what classes you might want to take.
- Speak with someone in Academic Advising for help with selecting courses.
- Register for classes using WebAdvisor.
- Get your Highlander OneCard (MCC ID) at the MAC Card Office.
4 Pay for classes and books
- Check with the Financial Aid office for loan disbursement dates (if you applied for financial aid).
- You can use WebAdvisor, by visiting the Financial Services office (also known as the Business Office), or using one of several other options to pay your tuition.
- Visit the MCC Bookstore to buy books for your classes, along with MCC apparel and gifts.
5 Go to class!
- Be sure to check WebAdvisor to verify the times and locations of your classes.
- Use the Campus Map and Virtual Tour to locate the buildings and classrooms that your classes are in.
- The MCC Library is a great place to study and find resources to help with your studies.
6 Get involved!
- Many clubs, scholar groups, organizations and leadership opportunities can be found on the Student Activities page.
- Career Development has information about services for Single Parents/Displaced Homemakers and students with disabilities.
