HighlanderOne Card

You may have questions about the Highlander OneCard, your official MCC ID card. Below, we’ve addressed some of your most frequently asked questions. For additional questions, please call the Card Office at 299-8300.

How can I use my Highlander OneCard?
Besides identifying you as a student, which entitles you to certain benefits, it is the primary vehicle by which you will receive financial aid or general refunds from the college. The card can be used for all existing ID card services, such as checking out library books, purchasing items from our bookstore and dining facilities, and printing and copying in the library and in campus labs. You can also open a OneAccount checking account and use your card as a debit card off campus where MasterCard is accepted. Your ID card should be carried with you at all times while on campus for identification as an MCC student.

What happens if I elect to have my financial aid and other refunds directly deposited to another bank account?
You must activate your Highlander OneCard and select the option to have your monies directly deposited into another account. You will then be required to print, complete and mail the Third Party Form (available at www.highlanderone.com) to the address indicated on the form. Are there fees associated with using the Highlander OneAccount?
There can be usual and customary fees associated with the Highlander OneAccount:

  1. If you use a Higher One ATM machine, you will not be assessed a fee.
  2. If you use an ATM that is not a Higher One designated ATM, you will be assessed a fee by that specific institution in addition to a $2 per transaction fee charged by Higher One.
  3. If you initiate a debit purchase, by entering your PIN number instead of a signature-based credit card transaction, you will be assessed 50 cents per transaction. Selecting “credit” instead of “debit” only makes it a signature-based transaction and not subject to the PIN fee – it is still a debit charge.

Is there a maximum amount I can withdraw on a daily basis through my Highlander OneCard?
